Volunteer Morocco is planning two trips for the summer of 2009.  The first trip will be from June 11th to June 26th 2009 and the second trip is tentatively planned for August 13th to August 27th 2009.

June 11-26, 2009  Volunteer Morocco Program:

Th. June 11, 2009: Departure from the US to Casablanca, Morocco

F. June 12, 2009: Arrival at Casablanca airport in Morocco. Visit to "Hassan II Mosque,” and American consulate, lunch and drive to Marrakesh.

Sat. June 13, 2009: A day in Marrakesh to explore famous places of interest (souk, museums, madrassa) before traveling to Agadir.

Sun. June 14, 2009: Agadir.  Volunteer Morocco will organize a Soccer Tournament for four villages and donate jerseys and soccer ball to the four teams.

Mon. June 15, 2009: Visit to Hassan II hospital, nursing school, two presentations will be offered about Morocco’s health care system.  Deliver the medical equipment to Hassan II hospital during the hospital orientation.  Visit the orphanage and take the list of needed items for the orphans. 

 Tue. June 16, 2009: Volunteer work in the orphanage. Organize a party for the kids, deliver the gifts for the orphans and care for the children.

Wed. June 17, 2009: Internship at the local hospitals, clinics, or orphanage, depending on qualifications.

Th. June 18, 2009: Internship at the local hospitals, clinics, or orphanage, depending on qualifications.

Fri. June 19, 2009:  Break or Internship at the local hospitals, clinics, or orphanage, depending on qualifications.  Travel to Imsouane surfing/fisherman village.

Sat. June 20, 2009:  Deliver the medical equipment to Ighaln Village.  Hike to Imsouane surfing and fishing village (three-hour hike: optional), small health clinic at the fisherman village. After 3 pm: free time.

Sun. June 21, 2009: Rural Health Clinic at Ighaln : approximately 20 Moroccan doctors and nurses will be on hand for consultations with villagers. The health clinic is expected to serve and provide medicine for over 600 people. 

Mon. June 22, 2009: Deliver the medical equipment to Assaka Village and volunteer work at Assaka dispensary or Tamri Dispensary. 

Tue. June 23, 2009: Deliver classroom equipment (desks, chalkboards, chairs, computer) to women literacy program in Ighil village, deliver school supplies, deliver clothes and soccer equipment. 

Wed. June 24, 2009: Rural Health clinic at Igheil village  and at the school village. Fence olive trees planted by previous students and install the drip irrigation system.

Thu. June 25, 2009: Travel to Agadir, Souk at Inezgane, hammam, Massage, Henna or volunteering at the orphanage and farewell celebration and certificate ceremony.

Fri. June 26, 2009:  Departure for the US.
