During the 2008-2009 winter break,Volunteer Morocco organized a 2-week program for American students starting in Casablanca and ending in the village of Ighril, about 80 km north of Agadir. 

The volunteer group was made up of 7 pre-med students and three nurses.  They got a first hand look at urban medicine and rural medicine as it is practiced in a developing country.  They also spent time volunteering in an orphanage, a rural health clinic and in 2 villages: Assaka Village and Igheil.
